I’ve just gone to download the images from my phone and the Micro SD card has died. Valuable lesson learned… back up daily! I’ve now lost all my images from September. So… still catching up here are May’s nails. Soon be up to date!

Nails in April
Acrylic nails with dusky pink gel and glitter with little hearts
A few from March
I’m now only 4 months behind! Here are a few from March.
These nails were created after Cath’s husband sent a pic of what they’d like on her nails. Cath has The Gel Bottle Builder in a Bottle on her natural nails. These nails were created with Black Gel polish, Gold pigment, gold glitter and hand painted clock faces.
These nails are gel polish over natural nails. Using Ink London’s Blood Diamond for the main manicure, I added chunky and fine glitter in Champagne gold o the ring and index fingers and added 3d detail to the red nails with gold 3d gel.

swatches
A selection of colour pops and swatches.
I ordered a new colour and when it arrived it’s almost identical to a colour I already have so I decided to have a play with a matte design with 3d designer gel. These pictures are with and without flash, it’s so hard to get an accurate picture.
These swatches were created with gel polish after watching a Liliya Sereditskaya online course.
These swatches were created for a challenge set by Kirsty Meakin as homework for our TNG Stage 2 course. The challenge was to paint a face. This was so much harder than I thought it would be!
These swatches were painted after watching a Periscope course with Dega Mosane. Some lovely techniques.
February
Catching up on February! I did a Hard Gel Conversion course this month with Francesca Gomm of F.G. Studio and Academy in Plymouth and brushed up on E-filing, One stroke  painting,  and had a real Nail Play Weekend. Lots of glitters and pigments, paints,  swapped ideas and had a few treatments. Have to mention the Boob Buster, a fab treatment and I can’t believe that it worked. Its so good I’m doing the course next month! Read more here

July Nails and One Stroke with Keiko Venner
Over half way through the year already. It’s been a busy month as everyone is getting their nails holiday ready. I started the month attending a class in Bodmin with the amazing Keiko Venner learning One Stroke. We all learned a lot and I love the Orgasmic Paints, they are so creamy and lovely to work with Keiko is such a patient teacher and her work is out of this world. I learned a lot and now just need some spare time to practice!
The last week of the month was so hectic as I was getting prepared for my trip to Stoke On Trent for my TNG Stage 2 Course with Kirsty Meakin.
Hotels are all busy this time of year so I booked myself an Airbnb near to the training venue which was luxury! 3 bedrooms all to myself, my own patio area (which I didn’t get to use as it rained but it was useful each night while I e-filed my day’s nails off ready for new nails every morning!). I figured self catering would be the way to go as I could get my own shopping in and do my own thing rather than eat in a hotel and be stuck in a little room. The house had every amenity you could wish for and there was a huge welcome pack waiting for my arrival. Bread, fruit, cereals, croissants, fruit juice, butter, milk, pasta and rice, condiments… everything I could need. The start of a great week away… more in the previous blog. Definitely the way to stay!
6 hour return journey and Satnav brought me via Stonehenge again, it’s like a magnet. 45 minutes crawling along while people take pictures of an underwhelming bunch of rocks! Will go a different route next time!
Here are some of the nails I created in July. I’m gradually catching up… just Feb, March, April, May and June to do!
This design started life as a lovely Sharm effect. Dark and light purple roses blending beautifully on my colour pops. Looked fabulous! Alison was really keen so we started on the nails… as you see no roses! Total failure. The leaves would not blend, they looked terrible. This is Plan B!
These are Ann’s natural nails with an acrylic overlay. Using techniques learned from Keiko and Orgasmic paints I painted 4 nails with onestroke.
Emily’s designed her own necklace for her 40th birthday party and asked if I could design something to go with the paua shells she had used. I used a mixture of foil, sheer gels, handmixed gels and detailed lines to achieve this effect.
Change The Game – TNG Stage 2 Course with Kirsty Meakin
I’ve just completed the That Nail Girl Stage 2 Change The Game Course with Kirsty Meakin. What a brilliant teacher and a lovely lady.
I’ve been booked on this course since December and we’ve all been so excited to attend. We are the first group to train with Kirsty and we were all so in awe of her amazing talents. Having watched her videos on youtube (Chesterfield Cushion design here)Â we had an idea what to expect but we just didn’t realise how much she knows. There are over 380 videos on there, go subscribe.
5 intense days in which she kept us back til 8pm most nights. Fab week and met some lovely ladies from all around the country, all of us are determined to return. Kirsty is amazing and helped by her Brilliant efficient PA Jode Taylor we had a great week. Lot’s of work and lots of play too.
Great set up and so much glitter around us, like a nail tech’s heaven. This ad will forever remind me of my week in Stoke!
I went to the course not very keen on acrylics and not expecting much but I am inspired now… who wants acrylics? Long ones, short ones, detailed ones… Â Come on, let me loose on your nails!
The nail above is the Dragon nail Kirsty created for me. Fabulous!
