IBX Treatment and Repair

IBX and IBX Repair

IBX and IBX Repair – The complete System

IBX Header

IBX is a new kind of salon service, offering professional help for weak and damaged nails. This intensive strengthening treatment works so you can build up length and durability, starting from the INSIDE OUT.

I highly recommend IBX Treatment for damaged or brittle nails. This innovative two-part system offers revolutionary benefits:

  • Under Gel Polish
  • Creates a protective shield for the nail
  • Reduces white spots that tend to occur with the use of Gel Polish
  • As a Natural Nail Growth Treatment

IBX Repair is used to repair severe nail damage to set the stage for growth.
IBX toughens the upper layers of the nail plate allowing nail growth
With multiple treatments fills up deep grooves resulting in a smoother nail plate. Natural nail color and appearance improved.

IBX is the first treatment of its kind.
This penetrative toughening system works inside the nail instead of sitting on top like traditional nail services.
The IBX application process is designed for ultimate penetration into the nail plate. Applies like polish, and penetrates into the nail with heat. Cured with an LED light. It’s as simple as that.

Nail Aftercare DOs and DON’Ts

mole_end_design_nails_and_lashes

  • Do remember that the nails are new to you

It will take a day or two to get accustomed to having longer nails. Treat your new nails with care until you get used to them. There are many dangers for unsuspecting nails – car doors, kitchen cabinets, switches, drawers etc. After a short while you will get used to using your hands in a different way and your nail enhancements will feel as natural as your own nails.

  • DO make sure your nail shape and length match your lifestyle

Nails that are too long for your activity level will place the stress area of your enhancement under too much pressure which can result in breakage and damage to your natural nail

  • Do remember to apply a base coat before applying nail polish

This will help prevent the nails from becoming yellow or stained.

  • Do remember to return to Mole End Design for maintenance and rebalance every two/three weeks as advised

If regular maintenance is not done then your enhancements will grow out and become weaker (due to wear and tear and incorrect structure) and the chance of breaking a nail becomes much higher. Maintenance work includes re-filing and re-shaping of the nail, repair of any breakage, cracking, or lifting, fill-in and rebalance of new growth, and polish, if desired.

  • Do contact me

on 01747 838414 if you are unable to keep your appointment as soon as you can.

  • If you wish to paint your nail enhancements with your own polish, always use a non acetone varnish remover or your enhancements may be damaged or weakened. This can be purchased from Mole End Design or your local chemist.
  • Do oil cuticles twice a day

Apply a good quality cuticle oil at least once every day to keep your nails looking good and to nourish the natural nail underneath. Please make sure the cuticle oil (or any hand lotion) you use does not contain mineral oil or lanolin as these are the Number 1 causes of lifting.

  • Do use rubber gloves

Wear gloves when washing up, gardening or using household chemicals as exposure to these types of products can cause your nail enhancements to become weak and/or damaged and prone to breakage. Apply hand cream whenever you wash your hands but NO hand creams, body lotions that contain Lanolin should be used as this could affect the enhancement. This will help to keep your skin looking healthy and promote flexibility in your nails.

  • DO take care around extreme heat or naked flames as nail extensions may melt.

  • DON’T forget to make an appointment for your maintenance visit before you leave

  • DON’T wear nails too long. Choose a length to suit your lifestyle.

  • DON’T use anything other than a Non Acetone Varnish Remover.

  • DON’T Use clippers, scissors or metal files on your enhancements.

If length needs to be reduced file as instructed by me. If in doubt call me!

  • DON’T use your nails as tools, they are not indestructible.

Use a screwdriver or knife. Try using the sides or pads of your fingers, or even your knuckles for difficult jobs. . Always use the proper tool! Your nails were NOT created to be used as a screwdriver, can opener and no picking labels!

  • DON’T leave your hands in water for long periods of time.

Water eventually breaks down just about everything including nail adhesive.

  • DON’T attempt to remove the nail extensions yourself.

Return to the salon for expert attention. Picking the product off the natural nail can cause a lot of unnecessary damage. Please contact me to arrange an appointment so that I can remove them properly

  • DON’T pick, bite or pull your enhancements

Never remove enhancements with your teeth or any other object as this may cause distress and weaken your natural nails. Don’t bite, pick at or file your enhancements as this will cause lifting and damage to your natural nail.  Do not pull backwards against the tips of your nails as this could cause injury or breakage

  • Please do not use super glue to do a DIY repair

Do not attempt to repair any lifting or damage to your nail enhancements yourself with glue, band aids or other such methods.  Please contact me and arrange for an appointment for me to repair the damage for you.

  • DON’T do anything which will cause strong or repetitive pressure on your nail enhancement as this can lead to cracks which can, in turn, lead to a full break.

Remember, once you leave the salon, the responsibility to care for your nails is up to you!  I have done my job in creating a beautiful set of nail enhancements for you, it’s now your job to look after them and get the best from them.
